point1zero is a rock band from Louisville, Kentucky. In late 2005, then newcomer singer, Andi Ramser, and veteran drummer, Nick Hoehler, met through mutual acquaintances. They wanted to create a cover project in the Kentuckiana area that would attempt to fill a void in the local music scene. With harder rock dominating the clubs, they focused on rock with an upbeat, danceable flavor in order to get the audiences out of their chairs and moving their feet. Guitarist, Kamron Terry entered the fold within a few short months of the band's inception while bassist, Chuck Dearing joined the following year in late 2007. Both brought the experience and passion the project needed to round out the line-up, and point1zero was officially formed.
Until 2010, point1zero was solely a cover act, but in late 2009, they began writing original material to create their first album. The tracks "Attain" and "Falling In" will appear on their upcoming release. These two songs were selected for this compilation to represent the essence of the band - a hard-driving, yet upbeat sound that combines their various influences. point1zero is currently continuing to write and record additional material and anticipates releasing a full-length album by spring/summer 2011. The band hopes the tracks on this compilation will get fans eager for more. However, expect to find much more versatility and diversity on their full-length. While there will be additional aggressive hard rockers like "Attain" and "Falling In", the group's softer and more melodic side will be present as well.
